Illegal Art 2 - Martyring of Stephen

This was one of my all time favorites in the Palatine Gallery at Palazzo Pitti. You can see the Trinity here looking down on Stephen as he is stoned to death. I read that account one more time from the Bible when I saw it. I think it is awesome too because it is one of the few paintings that doesnt feature Mary in the Godhead sitting enthroned in heaven.
